What Are Zinc Anodes and Why They Are Used in Cathodic Protection?
Zinc is the proven solution for salt water (seawater), produced brines, and low resistivity soils. Known for its reliability, it provides consistent galvanic protection for ship hulls, tanks, boats and underground infrastructure where stable performance is critical.
Sacrificial zinc anodes operate by creating a galvanic cell with the steel structure, functioning most effectively in conductive electrolytes. They are specifically engineered for low-resistivity environments to corrode sacrificially and prevent rust. At BSS Technologies, we manufacture high-purity zinc alloys in our UAE foundry.
